Recently, I have lost a few of my pets. Their names were, Xander, Jordan, and Snickers. Before you ask if they died in a disaster, I will tell you that they didn’t. It was just a coincidence. I loved all of them, even if they were a little annoying, Xander. Jordan was a sweet heart and always let me hug her, Snickers was kind of jumpy, but fun, and Xander was annoyingly lovable.
It all happened about three or four weeks ago. Both of my parents had the flu, so we had to do chores for them. As I went out, it was a normal day, normal things. I fed and watered them and then headed out to another building with Xander in it. I went to check on his water, but he was just lying there on the ground stiff. My sister went out to do her chores and came back with a dead snickers. We were all sad, but she was getting really old. The next day we found Jordan stiff, but alive. We took her to the vet, and apparently she had broken her spine somehow. We had to put her down because of it.
I was very sad, but that’s just how life is sometimes. Anyways, a week after that I got a new baby goat. She was two weeks premature out of triplets. Her brothers were older and larger than her, so we had to bring her in the house and bottle feed her. I had to take responsibility and take care of her. I would have to get up in the middle of the night and feed her, clean her, and sleep with her. We have created a wonderful bond. She today, is three weeks old and running around like a normal goat. I love her so much and her name is Quinn. Our lives are better than ever and I hope it stays that way.
